Pulcinella to the music of Igor Stravinsky is based on an 18th-century play.

Since 1920, it has been performed in dozens of productions around the world, and even though it is not among the very famous Ballets, it considered as a mile stone in the world of dance .

Commissioned by the Israeli Symphonic orchestra, a new and contemporary version was created for the ballet. And was premiered in Israel ,with live music and 3 singers.

Together with Mr, Maor Tzabar (costume designer) we combined some of the traditional character and costume components with baroque elements but in a modern prospective.

The dance uses classical elements that are being broken and replaced with elements from contemporary dance .The stage concept considers the work as a whole. The dancers, singers and the Orchestra are part of the same ensemble. The singers on stage are an integral part of the scene.

The "power" of the music is used as an inspiration for many populated "stage pictures", the dance chapters are very dynamic, with many tempo changes and modes - on the border line between classic to modern and between traditional to contemporary dance.

The piece is being preformed with and without live music and singers
